A 58-year-old Georgia man was killed on Sept. 20 after his vehicle collided with a trailer that had broken free from a truck. The Georgia State Patrol stated that the accident occurred on Cat Creek Road just about one mile from the Moody Air Force Base in Valdosta.
The man's vehicle was headed north when a grain trailer reportedly broke free from its truck at about 5:30 p.m. The trailer traveled into the lane the man was driving in, killing him when it collided with his vehicle. A 38-year-old passenger who was also in the vehicle suffered injuries that were said to be minor.
