Separate car accidents occurred on a recent Saturday night. The two car accidents left two people dead and others hospitalized. Georgia authorities indicate that the accidents happened just two hours apart from each other. The accidents are still being investigated by state patrol.
Authorities arrived at the scene of the first accident that occurred in Thomas County. Upon a preliminary investigation, authorities indicate that the accident was caused when a male driver was unable to maintain control of his vehicle. His vehicle left the roadway, and the impact caused him and his wife to be thrown from the vehicle. His wife was killed in the crash, and he was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
Just hours later, an accident was caused by a wrong-way driver who was headed in the northbound direction but was in the southbound lane. The vehicle crashed into a tractor-trailer and afterward crashed head-on with another vehicle. The wrong-way vehicle's driver was killed at the scene, and two occupants from the other vehicle were transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.
Car accidents can be heartbreaking when injuries and death are caused. Usually, victims who are seriously injured must withstand the cost of hospitalization and possibly other continuous care while they recuperate. The injured parties involved in the second accident may have the right to pursue personal injury claims. They may be able to recover pain and suffering, medical expenses and any other burdens related to the crash based upon evidence presented to a Georgia civil courtroom.
